Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to be a part of an Ember Compliance Team to help with a variety of projects that Ember is working on ex. Consumer Electronics, Health, Baby bottle, etc. This position provides Compliance specialist support to operational, Engineering, and commercial organizations. Support includes branch-based product compliance and permitting as well as regulatory approvals and compliance associated with specific product regulations. In addition, the candidate will assist with the implementation of strategies that provide continuous improvement of the regulatory compliance programs. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Compliance to collectively support field operations. Responsibilities:

• Participate in new product reviews and proposed new or modified products for regulatory impact. Leads development and implementation of compliance actions/programs in support of new/ modified products as needed.
• Participate in customer product application/ end-use assessments, leads company risk assessments, and develops recommendations for risk mitigation and business management.
• Provide regulatory guidance to internal partners on Compliance/regulatory issues and participate in developing company guidelines and policies to address applicable issues. Coordinate with the Legal department and European/Pacific/Latin America resources as needed.
• Quarterly complete WEEE registrations.
• Working knowledge of domestic and international regulatory and compliance schemes: UL, CSA, FCC, CB Scheme, CE Directives (LVD, EMC, Energy Efficiency), and others.
• Working knowledge of international regulatory requirements and ISO-based quality systems (ISO 9001/ISO 14001).
• Provide FDA/cGMP product regulatory support as needed.
• Proactively monitor changes in regulations and standards and communicate these to the team.
• Act as primary technical expert for product compliance team, collaborate with internal and external partners, manufacturing sites, as well as third party labs, to evaluate products and critical components, facilitate testing protocols, and review third party reports.
• Hands-on position accountable for research on electrical safety, radio frequency, EMC and restricted material requirements in North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Product Safety. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Technical, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively by e-mail, by phone, and in person.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to maintain records related to product registrations.
