Role Description: This position reports to the Centre Manager of the coding school, Administrative Executive and Head of Education. Empire Code was founded in 2016 as a coding education center. We have expanded since within the tech industry and now comprise of Empire Code Education for computer science training, Empire Code Launchpad for software development, and Empire Code Loves Back, our social enterprise. Empire Code Education is a Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) approved private school, with teachers holding MOE approvals and Microsoft Minecraft education certifications to teach in local and private schools. Specific Responsibilities: Individual to be involved in: (1) Preparing and delivering computer science and robotics lessons. (2) Providing a learning environment encouraging critical thinking, while addressing academic needs. (3) Providing constructive feedback for students and upkeeping a learning environment that is encouraging, supportive and inclusive. (4) Participation in Team discussions to improve learning journeys for students. (5) Confidently handle Parent queries on child's learning journey, and explain key areas of learning. Competencies: (1) Developing proficiency in the core curriculum, for teaching children ages 4 to 13. (2) Developing problem solving and creativity skills to teach a wide range of learners. (3) Learning to confidently handle parent queries, and keep parents updated on key areas of learning. This includes drafting of reports. Duration of Attachment Offered: 6 months
