PURPOSE OF JOB IEH is looking for an energetic and motivated Consultant to grow our Workplace Safety & Health, Ergonomics, and occupational hygiene consultancy practices in Singapore.

THE ROLE This post requires an applicant with excellent communication skills to provide consultancy services related to workplace safety and health (WSH), Ergonomics and occupational hygiene (OH). The successful applicant will have exciting opportunities to be involved in high-level consulting and research projects, within a long-established organisation that has a worldwide reputation for excellence in occupational hygiene and health. The dynamic environment will allow the applicant to develop technical, administrative, sales and marketing skills.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES Reporting to the Head of Ergonomics, the post holder will carry out these duties:

  • Deliver consultancy services related to WSH, OH and Ergonomics to customers including these responsibilities:

  • Perform duties as WSH consultant/officer to customers
  • Perform duties as Fire Safety consultant/inspector to customers
  • Perform duties as Occupational Hygienist/Consultant to customers
  • Develop and implement Ergonomics/WSH programs and management systems for customers
  • Conduct risk consulting and assessments for customers
  • To represent IEH internally and externally, as required.
  • Support administrative and operations functions in the Singapore Office, which will include adhering to existing documentation procedures and system implementation.
  • Assist in business support to sales and marketing activities, preparation of proposals etc.
  • To undertake other duties as allocated by management appropriate to the role or any other reasonable duty within the framework of the post.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Registered WSH Officer, Singapore (required)
  • Registered Industrial/Occupational Hygienist/ Ergonomist (advantageous)
  • Qualified Fire Safety Manager, Singapore (required)
  • Training as Occupational Hygiene Officer is a plus
  • Technical or scientific degree (BSc, MSc) is a plus
WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • 1 or more years work experience in EHS management
  • Work experience in EHS consulting (advantageous)
  • Working within quality systems (ISO14001, 45001 or similar)

  • Able to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Able to keep track of a range of activities and demands

  • Communicates clearly with clients and study participants
