Job Description


What the role is:As Singapore harnesses technology to improve lives and livelihoods for all, it is imperative that our plans are built on a strong foundation of cybersecurity, without which we would be exposing ourselves to the multitude of threats that lurk in cyberspace. The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) was formed in 2015 and has been given the task of protecting Singapore\'s cyberspace. It is part of the Prime Minister\'s Office and is managed by the Ministry of Communications and Information. The Safer Cyberspace Division in CSA focuses on building national cyber resilience of organisations in Singapore. The division develops and manages national cybersecurity technology initiatives under the SG Cyber Safe programme, in order to enable a safer cyberspace. Examples of programmes which the division has rolled out include the CSA Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust mark, which are published as national cybersecurity standards in Singapore. The target segment of the division are non-Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) organisations in Singapore, and these can range from large or significant organisations of special interest to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which form 99% of Singapore\'s economy.What you will be working on:We are looking for a candidate to develop and manage national cybersecurity initiatives under the SG Cyber Safe programme. The key areas of responsibilities for a candidate in this role can include some of the following, which will be adjusted accordingly depending on the candidate\'s background and experience/seniority: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conceptualise, develop, and manage cybersecurity technology programmes targeted at different profiles of organisations \xe2\x80\xa2 Before a programme is rolled out: At the conceptualisation stage, responsibilities would involve performing technology landscape scans and analysis to identify shifts or trends in the cybersecurity landscape, and corresponding gaps in the cybersecurity posture of non-CII organisations to steer the direction of programmes developed \xe2\x80\xa2 After a programme is rolled out: To track and measure effectiveness, and refine, where necessary programme parameters \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive and develop levers to support programme adoption - this can include the use of incentives or policy levers \xe2\x80\xa2 Co-develop sector-specific cybersecurity programmes in collaboration with Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and/or policy functions in other Government agencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and orchestrate the wider ecosystem of technology providers, including cloud service providers, certification bodies, cybersecurity consultants, to support the programmes developedWhat we are looking for:Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Background in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Infocomm Technology, or a related field \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong data skills (e.g. data wrangling, visualisation), with the resourcefulness to source for relevant data sources and the domain knowledge and curiosity to analyse data to generate insights to support programme formulation \xe2\x80\xa2 Programming skills, e.g. Python \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interest in following emerging technology, particularly in areas that intersect with cybersecurity \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant experience and/or exposure to the application of technology in business sectors is an advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong engagement skillsAbout Cyber Security Agency of Singapore:About the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore Established in 2015, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) seeks to keep Singapore\'s cyberspace safe and secure to underpin our Nation Security, power a Digital Economy and protect our Digital Way of Life.
