Conduct investigation for various losses and casualties that are primarily connected to the marine industry.
Risk management, safety assessment for ships, jetties, ports and shipyards etc
Ship inspections for seaworthiness, cargo worthiness, general condition surveys, Sale & Purchase surveys, insurance attachment surveys and Protection & Indemnity Club entry and claims surveys.
Act as an expert witness for international marine dispute and arbitration cases.
Market the firm, as per internal requirement.
Requirements:
Holding a First Class Certificate of Competency (Engine).
Sailed as Chief Engineer on board ocean-going vessels for at least one year or as Second Engineer (first Engineer) for at least three years.
Sailed on board LPG carriers, Product Tankers, Oil Tankers, Storage tankers at a senior capacity (Chief or First engineer) is a must and in addition, sailing experience on board other type of Vessels is an added advantage.
Experience of new buildings, dry dock repairs, preparing repair specification, witnessing surveys of pressure vessels in the capacity of senior rank.
Able to travel at very short notice and around 10 to 12 days per month
