Content Specialist








Job Purpose



The Content Specialist will be an integral part of the in-house production team as well as Digital Communications team to capture, produce and edit videos, photos and other multimedia content in order to showcase stories about the brands\xe2\x80\x99 value, increase awareness of the behind-the-scenes staff efforts and to help shape public perception of our brands. The Content Specialist is required to have advanced skills in video production and creative editing with a fine eye for storytelling.


Responsibilities


  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) social media content, brand marketing videos and to support enterprise-wide projects on public education
  • Script, storyboard, art direction, allocate resources, set deadlines, work with internal staff and determine optimal modes of media channels for amplification
  • Work independently as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Plan photo and video shoots; scout, select and prepare shoot locations
  • Develop production schedules and seek the necessary approvals prior to the production shoot
  • If required to, select and hire additional crew and talent; direct and coach talent; make transportation arrangements for crew, talent and equipment; and ensure all location power needs are met
  • Record and edit video, photo and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organising raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Manage video and photo library and will need to be in charge of the production equipment
  • Use analytics or understanding of social media trends to help curate and create content



Qualifications & Work Experience


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferably in video production
  • 1-5 years professional directing and editing experience with digital media communications experience



Skills



Technical skills include:
  • Video production includes familiarity with DSLR cameras, various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography
  • Pre-production planning
  • Post-production entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro
  • Basic understanding and usage of Canva
  • Photography skills

  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and experience working with other departments and external vendors
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and always looking out for new ways to refresh content to engage different audiences
