Salling Search is currently assisting one of the leading mining companies to look for a

Contract Administrator (Base Metals/Dry Bulk)

for their Singapore office.




Only candidates with the following experience and qualifications will be considered for this role.


Ensure robust governance and accuracy in commercial contracts for commodities (e.g., Base Metals, Iron Ore) through validation of trade entries and contract management. Support value maximization by mitigating risks and optimizing third-party trading and sales processes.

Key Responsibilities

Validate daily trade entries in the Trading System to ensure data accuracy for commercial invoices. Review and file deal blotters. Analyze and draft purchase/sales contracts, aligning with Front Office strategies. Identify and resolve contractual mismatches, manage payment terms, and escalate non-standard deals. Maintain contract data in systems and liaise with counterparties. Monitor contract compliance, manage supplier/customer communications, and reconcile inventory with trading systems. Ensure timely documentation and filing. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on contract status and performance. Align activities with business integrity policies, escalate compliance issues, and ensure credit approvals before shipment. Support updates to Standard Operating Procedures and system enhancements.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in international commodity operations or logistics. Degree in commercial, engineering, or business (desirable). Experience in contract preparation/execution in a trading environment. Knowledge of sales operations, trade finance, and logistics (e.g., letters of credit, shipping documentation) desirable. Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, and ERP systems. Proactive, organized, and able to work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.
