Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:



Contract Management



Oversee the execution and performance of Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Time Charter Parties (TCPs). Ensure full compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and operational requirements; proactively address issues with Owners and Charterers. Coordinate with shipowners and key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations under the charter contracts. Manage the interface and integration between the FSRU TCP, Terminal Use Agreements, and Inter-Customer Agreements.

Operational Oversight



Maintain a thorough understanding of the TCP and monitor contractual performance, including vessel availability, maintenance, and logistics. Ensure FSRU operations are within agreed performance and compliance parameters, including delivery timelines and technical standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, commercial, legal, finance) to promptly resolve operational issues. Ensure all operations align with international and local regulations, such as MARPOL, SOLAS, and other relevant statutory requirements. Coordinate with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) stakeholders to proactively address safety matters.

Performance Tracking



Optimize the performance and utilization of the FSRU to meet business goals, minimize downtime, and maximize profitability. Monitor and assess key performance metrics outlined in the TCP, including hourly send-out nominations, fuel consumption, and operational efficiency. Support 24/7 scheduling and nomination change requirements. Develop dashboards and reports to analyze performance trends and identify improvement areas. Proactively resolve performance issues through coordination with internal and external parties. Record, track, and validate liabilities, liquidated damages, and demurrage; liaise with the back-office for settlements.

Cost Management & Budgeting



Monitor cost-efficiency of FSRU operations and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting in line with contractual terms and business targets.

Stakeholder Communications



Serve as the primary liaison for internal departments (legal, finance, technical, operations) and external parties (shipowners, agents, service providers, customers). Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and performance expectations. Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to manage issues, negotiate changes, resolve disputes, and provide updates. Keep senior management informed of vessel performance and operational developments.

Risk & Dispute Management



Identify risks related to contract execution, such as delays, breaches, or compliance gaps, and develop mitigation strategies. Support the legal team in managing and resolving disputes or claims related to the TCP, ensuring timely and equitable outcomes.

Documentation & Reporting



Maintain complete and accurate records of TCP agreements and related communications. Prepare regular reports on contract status, risk exposure, and performance for internal and regulatory stakeholders. Ensure documentation is properly stored and accessible in line with company policy and compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement



Stay updated on industry best practices, legal developments, and regulatory changes impacting TCPs and FSRU operations. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance contract execution, compliance, and operational efficiency. Work with internal teams to improve processes and identify opportunities for renegotiation or optimization of contract terms. Conduct periodic reviews of contracts and performance data to support strategic decisions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., in contract management or maritime law) is an added advantage. Minimum of 3 years' experience in contract management, preferably within the maritime or LNG industry. Strong knowledge of Time Charter Party (TCP) agreements, LNG Terminal Use Agreements, and Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs). Hands-on experience with FSRU operations and performance management, including vessel availability, send-out nominations, and fuel consumption monitoring. Proven ability to manage contractual obligations, performance metrics, and cost control in complex operational environments. Familiarity with international maritime regulations and standards, including IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, and local regulatory frameworks (especially in Singapore). Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of coordinating across internal departments and external partners such as shipowners, agents, and terminal users. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in contract execution and operational oversight. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software (e.g., vessel tracking systems, chartering and scheduling platforms).
