Public Markets is seeking to hire a Equity Trader on a 12-month contract basis. This role is based in Singapore, and the candidate will actively work with investment colleagues from our global offices, with a key focus on developing execution strategy recommendations and trading global markets.Core Responsibilities

• Research and track trends in evolving market microstructure
• Undertake periodic study on liquidity venues and identify important liquidity events
• Incorporate positioning, technical, volatility and relevant pre-trade analysis data to formulate execution plan recommendations within explicit investment approval parameters
• Cultivate a network of buy-side and sell-side contacts to gather timely market intelligence around single stock positions and broader markets
• Actively contributing to the investment process. Regularly disseminate market observations, articulate what\'s driving markets and discuss ideas with global investment colleagues, both verbally and in writing
• Familiar with the trade cycle and perform relevant pre trade checks and order logistics
• Execute approved trades and perform post-trade analysis to review outcomes against agreed benchmarks
• Collaborating with various teams to help enhance our systems and workflows
• Assist with commissions management and broker scorecards

• Strong understanding of Equity markets, and having a good read across sentiment drivers
• Ability to independently analyze market events, map scenarios and quantify potential impact
• Proficient with Bloomberg and/or other platforms (Factset, CapIQ etc), and able to extract market and fundamental related datasets to manipulate and illustrate arguments
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity in learning new system platforms and leveraging data to build insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive self-starter who can anticipate business needs and motivated to drive change
• Team-player, who can collaborate effectively across global team.

• Strong appreciation of macro drivers and how other asset classes (e.g. rates, credit, commodities) impact equity trading
• Quantitative background with strong analytical skills, able to construct and identify trends from data to formulate views
• Experience in Equity trading including ETFs in key listed markets (but not essential)
