Responsible for the formulation of maintenance strategies and short term/long term planning for Control Systems expansion, upgrading and renewal.
Gatekeeper for system architecture and engineering standards for all process Control Systems which are installed onsite (JI plant) or offsite (at customers\' site); ensuring implementation of modification works according to these requirements.
Lead the team to perform fine-tuning, troubleshooting, modification and programming of the Control System as needed to improve system performance and optimize process operation needs.
Provide response to 24-hour emergency call-out and night-shift support during plant shutdown, startup, and as requested by Operation Team.
Manage the team and work closely with the E&I, Technical Service, Reliability and Operation Teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Lead the team to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance works for plant turnaround.
Provide resource and work with the Regional Project Team to review requirements and/or specifications of Control System for ongoing projects; may need to attend FAT, SAT, MC walkdown and PSSR.
Requirement:
Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, major in Process Control and Instrumentation is preferred with min 10 years experience working and maintaining Process Control systems, especially Honeywell DCS, Siemens PCS7 and Triconex PLC in refinery or petrochemical industry.
Familiar with the engineering tools and programming languages of these systems.
Experience and knowledge in field instrument, control valve, switchgear and MCC are added advantage.
Experience in managing Control System expansion, upgrading and renewal projects.
Knowledge and experience with computer system networking, server/client and virtualization environments.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, Project, Outlook and SAP systems.
Self-confident and able to work independently with minimum supervision but also, a good team player.
Experience in managing a team of engineers.
Able to multitask, perform well under high pressure and quick-changing environments.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Good process, project and risk management skills.
Good written and communication skills.
