Job Overview

We are seeking a caring and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, halal meals and snacks for children at our mosque-based kindergarten. The ideal candidate will ensure all meals are safe, balanced, and appealing to young children, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for children.


2. Ensure meals comply with halal standards and dietary requirements.


3. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.


4. Monitor food inventory and manage supplies efficiently.


5. Work closely with staff to coordinate mealtimes and schedules.

Requirements

1. Experience in cooking, preferably in childcare, kindergarten, or school settings.


2. Knowledge of halal food preparation and food safety certification


3. Awareness of nutrition and dietary needs for children.


4. Strong organisational skills and reliability.


5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
