Position Description:
The JERAGM ETRM IT landscape is based on several vendor applications including Allegro Horizon, ZEMA, CubeLogic, IMOS/VESON and INFOR SUN. This also includes the in-house reporting and analytics data Lakehouse environment. In addition to JGM landscape, some systems (e.g. ZEMA, SUN, Cubelogic, Global Risk) are also an important part of GMJ landscape.
Additionally, JERAGM is implementing a data-centric technical architecture model, termed as the Digital & Data Hub (DDH), to enhance scalability and stability. This role will increasingly be expected to provide market data interfaces with this architecture from core systems for existing and new use cases.
The market data business analyst will be responsibly for taking ownership and managing strategy and governance for market price data (forward prices, settlement prices, FX/IR curves, correlations, volatilities, net back curves) for Jera GM. This will include market data management in ZEMA for JGM and GMJ.
Job Responsibilities:
Market Data Strategy & Governance

• Define and maintain a structured market data management framework to support trading, risk, and analytics teams.
• Setup and operate change control and data governance processes around ZEMA changes, working with stakeholders in FO, Quant Platform and MO teams
• Run continuous improvement forums with users to improve market data strategy, management and governance in close collaboration with end users
• Ensure compliance with market data licensing agreements.
• Maintain audit trails for market data usage/work with in-house teams to ensure usage of market data is in accordance to accepted policy.
• Work on optimal data source management and help manage costs.
• Work with cost controller in managing and onboarding new data contracts.

Data Quality & Standardization

• Manage data validation framework and processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of market data.
• Standardize data formats and mappings for LNG, coal, power and freight pricing, indices, and trade flows.
• Manage master data, metadata, and symbology for structured and unstructured market data.

ZEMA Platform Management

• Maintain and administer ZEMA for market data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
• Configure and optimize ZEMA data feeds, ensuring accurate and timely processing of LNG, coal, and freight market data.
• Develop and manage ZEMA reports, dashboards, and data queries for front-office and risk users.
• Implement automated alerts and data validation rules in ZEMA to identify anomalies in pricing and trade data.
• Coordinate with IT and business users to enhance ZEMA integration with ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, SUN) and other internal systems.
• Oversee ZE support tickets being managed by GM IT Ops and act on behalf of users to chase up issues
• Manage ZEMA performance, security access, and user permissions based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with traders and analysts to define business requirements for market data procurement.
• Integrate data feeds from exchanges, brokers, and third-party vendors into ZEMA and downstream into trading and analytics platforms.
• Automate market data ingestion, transformation, and reporting using ZEMA.
• Support users in accessing, analysing, and reporting on data from ZEMA using python, excel, data platform, or BI tools, working closely with the Data Team to align on standard approaches.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing workflows to support real-time analytics.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

• Liaise with business users and internal IT teams to ensure market data solution aligns with business needs.
• Build a good working knowledge of the markets, products and venues traded by JERAGM to enable effective conversations with GM users.
• Provide regular, business friendly updates to GM users when there are ZEMA changes or in follow up to major issues
• Triage and route the broader non-market price data request (fundamental data, others) to data team business analysts.
• Liaise with ZEMA to manage platform, users, market data access
• Work with cost controller to liaise with external market data vendors to manage market data subscriptions, contracts and renewals

Qualifications:
Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a numerate subject or equivalent professional qualification
• At least 5-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst in ETRM IT (handling deal lifecycle systems) within a trading house, investment bank, or through a tier-1 vendor/consultancy
• At least 5 years' experience working in commodity markets including 3+ years of experience handling market data
• Experience in giving presentations and engaging with business managers and senior stakeholders
