Blackstone\xe2\x80\x99s International Finance team is seeking a Vice President to assume responsibility with limited supervision for a broad spectrum of the accounting and reporting procedures for the Group and for the respective House Entities in scope. Candidates should have minimum 10 years of public and/or private accounting experience. Candidates are expected to exhibit strong technical and analytical skills as well as exceptional communication skills. Specific Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for the financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements of Blackstone (BX) legal entities in APAC. This role is also required to collaborate across the investment and support functions to achieve operational goals, strategic initiatives and business growth strategies for BX in APAC. This role will report into the Head of APAC Finance based in Singapore. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing leadership and direction to the corporate team members ensuring that work priorities are organised efficiently and that the teams are actively coached, trained and developed.
Being the key contact for Blackstone NY Finance managing the financial close process and the provision of associated disclosure templates, completed accurately and timely in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP
Ensuring a robust control environment for all financial processes, to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory obligations including Sarbanes Oxley
Working with multiple stakeholders to ensure a smooth year-end audit, financial statements are accurate and in accordance with local GAAP, and are approved by the Board of Directors and filed by the deadline
Take lead in the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s periodical closing and reporting procedures, while responding to ad-hoc inquiries from management or other business teams. Responsible for preparing any Financial, Tax or Regulatory reports & surveys, and internal forecasts and analysis.
Manage, train and develop Blackstone\xe2\x80\x99s Center of Excellence (COE) staff with accounting and operational work
Coordinate with independent auditors for audits and tax accountants for tax filing procedures
Actively participate in regional / domestic projects to enhance controls, processes and/or system efficiency
Collaborate on a daily basis with Accounts Payable, Treasury, Compensation Accounting and other Finance teams in different offices across the region
Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various policies and procedures
Understand, manage, and review specific revenue/ investment process flows and associated accounting, including Treasury Management and foreign exchange analysis
Understand and manage legal entity\xe2\x80\x99s corporate tax, GST, transfer pricing reporting
Understand and manage routine regulatory compliance reporting and ad-hoc regulatory surveys
Involvement in management of Fund Accounting and Fund Operations
Communicate effectively with international teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve matters and participate in technology and process improvement initiatives
Assisting the broader Blackstone business teams who are looking to set up new businesses in APAC region
Participating and contributing towards global and regional initiatives to support Blackstone\xe2\x80\x99s strategy as relevant

4. Minimum 10 years of public and/or private accounting experience in the private equity industry, fund management or treasury industry 5. Undergraduate degree in Accounting. CPA or graduate degree preferred 6. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 7. Proficient in Mandarin (reading, speaking and writing 8. Knowledge in Oracle is a plus
