Position Summary





The

Corporate Governance Director

serves as a strategic advisor and operational integrator to the C-suite and executive leadership team of CNE Investment, (part of Concord New Energy Group). In this capacity, the

Corporate Governance Director

ensures seamless execution of strategic priorities, enhances cross-functional collaboration, and drives organisational alignment across the company's renewable energy and clean technology portfolio.





The role requires a visionary leader who combines analytical rigor with deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape, enabling the Board to focus on high-impact initiatives and stakeholder relationships while maintaining operational efficiency and strategic cohesion across markets.





Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Business Enablement

Partner with the Board to define, communicate, and track corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with CNE's renewable energy growth objectives. Translate sustainability-driven vision into executable business plans and performance metrics. Lead or support strategic initiatives across clean energy generation, energy storage, carbon management, and smart grid development. Monitor market, policy, and technology trends in solar, wind, and hydrogen sectors to inform executive decisions. Prepare strategic briefs, board decks, and policy recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

2. Cross-Functional Coordination and Governance

Facilitate coordination among business units, ensuring that renewable project development, financing, and operations align with corporate objectives. Drive cadence for executive meetings, quarterly reviews, and cross-department alignment sessions. Enhance governance frameworks to ensure transparency, compliance, and accountability across energy operations. Support the Board in representing the company at government, investor, and sustainability forums.

3. Organisational Excellence and Culture

Act as a catalyst for operational discipline and high-performance culture. Champion sustainability, digital innovation, and inclusion as core organisational values. Mentor emerging leaders and enhance internal communication to reinforce purpose-driven engagement

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Minimum a bachelor's degree in law, or related discipline. Background in energy law or corporate governance is an advantage.


2. Minimum 15 years of progressive experience within the renewable energy, clean technology, or infrastructure sectors, with demonstrated exposure to regulatory affairs, strategic planning, or corporate operations preferred.


3. Prior experience in advisory, compliance, or project structuring within the energy industry is highly valued.


4. Deep understanding of energy law, environmental regulation and green investment structures, with the ability to interpret and integrate policy, contractual, and compliance considerations into corporate strategy.


5. Exceptional executive presence and interpersonal acumen, with the ability to advise and influence Board, engage with policymakers, and build alignment among internal and external stakeholders.


6. Outstanding analytical skills and precision in communication, capable of crafting concise policy briefs, board reports, and strategic recommendations that bridge legal, technical, and commercial perspectives.


7. Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.


8. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams across different geographies.


9. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


10. Bilingual with proficiency in English and Business Chinese (as frequent interaction with China stakeholders are expected).


11. Singaporeans preferred.
