:

The Asia Private Financing and Special Situations Trading desk focusses on: a) trading of event driven high yield and pure distressed credit opportunities; b) direct lending and high yield / special sits financing to corporates; and c) single-name back-leverage and portfolio financing to credit funds. The opportunity involves working with clients and with internal teams (origination, sales, structuring) to generate ideas and identify dislocations with a view of trading and taking principal risk.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform credit analysis and manage risk on bespoke single name credits situations
• Perform credit analysis of portfolio of credit investments and identify business risks and mitigants as well as value a portfolio of liquid and illiquid credit assets, assessing overall risks of these assets and providing investment recommendations to the group
• Understand and provide structured solutions to institutional clients including total-return-swaps, total-return-notes, loan-on-loan, repo structures, amongst others
• Work on the entire lifecycle of credit trades including but not limited sector analysis, valuations, investment proposals, term sheets, liaising with different teams - Legal/product approval/credit and market risk etc.
• Monitor risk book by ongoing review of sector trends and regular updates of specific loan assets based on news flow and regular financials
• Understanding firm\'s approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics, Mathematics or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a credit role (Credit Trading, Desk Analyst, Credit Research, Financing desk of banks, leverage finance etc.)
• Exceptional analytical skills and curiosity
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
• Experience of having managed client relationships directly will be an added advantage
• Trading desk / buy-side / investing experience
