Purpose of the role The Travel Sales & Operations Executive - Senior Executive is a key position that involves providing travel sales support through sourcing, maintaining and generating new leads for the Company and be involved in the sales strategy of the Company and administrative and operations support in the backend.
Roles & Responsibilities
Sourcing and generating new leads for the Company with respect to travel sales, including the nurturing and maintenance of client relationships;
Handling enquiries from clients and corresponding with partners/suppliers of the company, governmental authorities, including the design of itineraries and proposals;
Keeping abreast of any developments with respect to our product offering which may have an impact on the business and conducting thorough travel and business-related research, whether of the industry or our destinations in general or of our competitors and analysing any research findings and preparing reports on the same;
Timely and prompt preparation of internal company documents, such as invoices and destination collaterals;
Handling administrative tasks and paperwork relating to the companys operations and internal processes, including HR-related administrative tasks;
Aiding in the expansion of destination and product offerings by reaching out to suppliers, gathering product knowledge and creating content;
Building on and maintaining all systems and products knowledge/offerings (such as itinerary builder, information platforms and feedback channels) and its SOPs;
Handle and oversee all travel arrangements (air, lodgings etc.) and operations
Negotiate contracts and rates with travel service providers
Provide advice on travel documents, insurance, import/export regulations etc.
Skills
Diploma / Bachelor Degree in any discipline;
At least 3 years working experience in Travel or M.I.C.E. industry;
Excellent command of English- both verbally and in writing - is essential;
Knowledge of the functions, operation and mission of the department;
Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and GDS;
The ideal candidate must be detailed-orientated, service-minded, experienced in negotiations and have a drive to deliver exceeding expectations;
Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season. A Can Do attitude and positive thinking that includes creative thinking is an asset.
