Cost Accountant (panabo City, Davao Del Norte)
Job Description
JOB EXPECTATION: The Cost Accountant is accountable for costing of all product lines, variances and margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and maintain a system for Activity-Based Costing (ABC) of all Product Lines
2. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
3. Regularly Update update standard costs of Raw Materials, Labor, and Overhead, with the presentation of impact on profitability and margin analysis
4. Review and validation of Production Reports and Work Orders
5. Review and validate variances between standard and actual costs every Operating Cycle and directly verify and coordinate with departments involved.
6. Present variance analysis at every end of the Cycle to Top Management and Department Heads
7. Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end period closing and provide an analysis of variance versus comparison periods
8. Provide ad hoc reports and perform other functions/tasks that may be assigned from time to time.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum 2-3years' experience in cost accounting
- Willing to be assigned at Panabo City
