Salesforce is looking for a talented, self-motivated, high-performing, and result-oriented Counsel to join our APAC Commercial Legal team based in Singapore. The APAC Commercial Legal team delivers innovative, trusted, and world-class legal services to advance and protect Salesforce's interests while creating a fulfilling work environment for our legal family. This Counsel will be based in Singapore and report to a Senior Corporate Counsel in the Singapore Legal team.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Review, negotiate and draft agreements, such as master subscription agreements, professional services agreements, data processing addenda, alliances agreements, non-disclosure agreements and order forms in support of the sales, professional services and alliances teams.
  • Provide pragmatic legal advice to dynamic and fast-paced sales teams to support Salesforce’s goals and vision.
  • Work with the sales and professional services, revenue recognition, sales operations and pricing internal teams to support processes for contracting and order processing.
  • Closely partner with the other departments, including privacy, security, and compliance to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • Provide legal and commercial support in relation to existing contracts and provide support in the event of any disputes or potential disputes.
  • Assist the company in maintaining and securing compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices.
  • Actively collaborate with both the APAC and International Commercial Legal teams’ ongoing development of knowledge, skills and processes.
  • Actively participate in reviewing and identifying process and legal innovations in order to deliver high quality and pragmatic legal advice in an efficient manner
  • Actively contribute to cross-regional team projects.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate LL.B. or postgraduate J.D. from a reputable university in Singapore, the UK, or a common law jurisdiction and valid practising certificate in a common law jurisdiction.
  • 4-6 years experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department.

Required Experience & Skills
  • Outstanding legal drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and strong legal reasoning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong management skills to manage internal clients and customers.
  • Highly responsive with a service-oriented attitude. Able to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and manage large numbers of deadlines, in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving, and demanding industry and work environment.
  • Strong track record of cross-border technology transactional experience (either in-house or in practice) in Asia
  • Passionate about technology and the law; familiar with technical concepts (web applications/cloud computing/digital transformation/artificial intelligence).
  • Can-do attitude, proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally.
  • Empathetic and supportive team player with a great sense of humour!

Highly Desirable Experience & Skills
  • Transactional experience with multinational clients in a variety of industries from finance, technology, government, and healthcare. Experience in a private practice banking, finance, or technology group is a plus.
  • Demonstrated substantive IT contract negotiation and drafting expertise.
  • Understanding of and experience in contracting with ministries, statutory boards, public services in Singapore
