:Counsellor (INSIGHT, Youth Mental Health)Job Purpose: The counsellor provides emotional, social, and psychological support to young individuals facing mental health challenges. Counsellor may offer guidance, coping strategies, and interventions to empower youth to navigate life's difficulties and make positive choices for their well-being.Roles & Responsibilities:PROGRAMMES * Work with the team on outreach/ programme conceptualization, implementation and monitoring

  • Network and establish collaboration with community and social service partners for effective support for clients
  • Assist in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of mental health related protocols and processes pertaining to service delivery
COUNSELLING AND CASEWORK * Manage case referrals and cases.
  • Conduct assessment, planning and intervention for cases.
  • Conduct case conferences with partners.
  • Participate in networking and case management meetings.
  • Document and evaluate case outcomes.
  • Develop and review appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Ensure reports on cases are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Participate in both individual and group supervision.
CLNICAL GROUPWORK * Be part of the team that will conceptualise, deliver, monitor and evaluate the groupworkRequirements: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counselling
  • Relevant certification in counselling (e.g., Registered Counselloris preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth in counselling, social services, or mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • A good team player, proactive and resourceful
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, and proficient using Teams/Zoom
  • Willing to work one weekday evening
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Chinese/Malay to cater to beneficiaries in the language requirements.
