What the role is:Support learners with Special Education Needs (SEN) throughout the course of their study, from admission to graduation and beyondWhat you will be working on:Provide case management, intervention and counselling support for SEN learnersRender administrative support such as providing Ministry of Education (MOE) SEN Funding to procure assistive devices and support servicesAssist in academic support arrangement such as to working with the schools to ensure SEN students have access to their curriculum and assessmentEstablish closer interaction and engagement with secondary schools and be the key touch points for graduating mainstream students who intend to progress to NYPProvide more comprehensive course advisement and case management sessions to support secondary/ITE students\' transition to NYP and transition support for NYP students at various phrases such as enrolment, school adjustment, school-to-internship and post-graduationDesign, curate and develop training materials and deliver awareness training for all colleagues as well as small group teaching to upskill lecturers in behaviour and classroom managementEstablish network with companies to seek internship opportunities for studentsConduct referral of students to other external agencies and assessment servicesWhat we are looking for:Relevant qualification in special education or psychology or counsellingAt least 5 years of working experience with special education needs clients in Polytechnic, School or ITE settingAbout Nanyang Polytechnic:Nanyang Polytechnic is committed to providing quality education and training to prepare our graduates for life and work, equipping them to contribute to the technological, economic and social development of Singapore.
