Through HSBC Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support, advice and services to businesses in the SME market. From setting up a new business to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Business Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small and mid-sized businesses reach their potential.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Country Head of Business Banking.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the Commercial Banking strategic focus on Business Banking segment in Singapore to drive Revenue and Profit growth
• Achieve key performance indicators while building a sustainable business model leading to an accelerated pace of growth in this segment and delivery of associated superior returns
• Develop and deploy an effective acquisition and retention strategy to increase HSBC\xe2\x80\x99s market share in Business Banking segment and gain larger share of wallet of the client base
• Strive for world class leading customer experience by cultivating a consistent selling and relationship management culture
• Understand and drive the digital agenda as it pertains to Business Banking, including being able to interpret and execute on market developments and work closely with key colleagues in the Chief Operating Office and Commercial Banking product partners
• Ensure the team is effectively deployed to directly solicit, cross-sell, and service qualified Business Banking customers
• Develop appropriate country-level marketing campaigns, aligned to global campaigns that highlight core strengths and where HSBC has \xe2\x80\x9cthe right to win\xe2\x80\x9d
• Understand current economic trends and its impact on HSBC within Singapore and identify key levers to capitalise on opportunities and minimise downside exposure
• Facilitate the rollout of any new products ensuring that implementation happens within the agreed budgets and timelines across Singapore
• Drive the increase of the cross-selling of Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM), and Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) products to deepen customer relationships and diversify Business Banking\xe2\x80\x99s revenue streams
• Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Global Standards Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by auditors and regulators

• An experienced executive with broad-based general banking experience and extensive knowledge of the HSBC and its operating environment
• An understanding of the Business Banking segment and ability to drive growth, improve customer experience and transform in the current digital environment
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills gained through experience of leading teams within a Commercial Banking environment
• Knowledge of commercial credit risk management
• Understanding of local operating markets
• Strong coaching and people management skills
• Robust analytical reasoning skills are essential and experience of project management will be an advantage
