Our client, a global logistics company with reach all over the globe, is looking for a Country Manager to join their team. Your role will be to manage operations, develop business and increase profitability for Singapore & Malaysia. You will need to have broad and specialist skills around 3PL, freight forwarding, transportation and supply chain knowledge. This role is a client facing role with strategic competencies required to grow the business and retain existing accounts. You will have a high level of responsibility and require self-motivation, being time oriented and able to move between general management and operational requirements. You will need to have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Singapore & Malaysia market in relation with our industry. The role is a senior executive position reporting directly to the Chief Executive OfficerRequirementsEducation\xc2\xb7 Tertiary or Post Graduate qualification in an appropriate Business discipline.Qualifications\xc2\xb7 Occupational Safety or Risk Management\xc2\xb7 Management or people leadership trainingExperience\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of local country laws / statutory requirements / Company Law and business regulations. Director level experience is ideal.\xc2\xb7 Involvement in Asian country base business activities for minimum (3+ years).\xc2\xb7 Experience of Singapore is a must\xc2\xb7 Extensive Supply Chain operational experience in a medium to large private sector organisation in managing people, financials, customers, and contracts.\xc2\xb7 Extensive knowledge of up-to-date business management practice\xc2\xb7 Exceptional financial understanding and analysis skills\xc2\xb7 Exceptional ability to build relationships both internally and externally\xc2\xb7 Exceptional business development experience and record\xc2\xb7 Exceptional research and analytical skills and a capacity for sound judgment\xc2\xb7 A practiced strategic thinkerA creative mind, practiced in designing and selling solutions
