Welcome to the Disruption Company. As a Creative Director, you will be responsible for work produced on behalf of our clients, as well as any work created for our company, as the need may arise. You are required to conceptualise and/or supervise junior creative staff in order to ideate, produce and implement disruptive creative that solves our clients\xe2\x80\x99 business problems, briefs or goals. You are also expected to maintain our company\xe2\x80\x99s standards of creative excellence and, within reason, profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ideate, art direct and execute original and iconic creative concepts in response to client briefs, objectives or goals
Manage multiple projects from concept through to completion, working with both in-house resources and third-party vendors
Develop disruptive creative that meets both our clients\xe2\x80\x99 objectives as well as our business objectives, maintaining the company\xe2\x80\x99s expected levels of creative excellence and professionalism
Supervise, inspire and lead creative teams as well as the broader company in all aspects of the present and future creative landscape
Collaborate effectively with Account Management, Planning and the broader creative team to develop disruptive and iconic work
Present, share and review creative work with Executive Creative Director/s, Account Management and Planning Leads as well as members of the Management Team
Communication Skills
Communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing, in English
Communicate clearly & honestly with managers, peers and clients
Must have excellent presentation skills
Client Relationships
Establish, nurture and maintain client relationships at a mid to senior client level
Collaborate with mid to senior clients to resolve business issues and/or working relationships
Competently present and sell original creative work to clients of all levels
Leadership Responsibilities
Manage multiple teams working under you
Identify and understand the strengths and weaknesses of creative teams under your supervision to effectively mentor and nurture junior to mid-level creative talent
Continuously inspire your peers, subordinates and the broader company on creative trends and developments through sharing and training
Job Specifications Knowledge required a. A minimum of 8 years working experience as a creative. b. Minimum 10 years relevant experience and knowledge of marketing and advertising. c. Thorough and contemporary knowledge and understanding of the latest innovations, trends and developments in our industry.
Skills required a. Commercial and creative minded b. Excellent relationship management c. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac applications d. Skilled and proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or Keynote and Microsoft Word for writer-based Creative Directors e. Leadership experience in managing account management and creative teams including supervising, training, organising, prioritising and allocating of work assignments
