The role Working within the Credit Control Team, as part of the Finance department, successful candidate is to ensure the collections and debtor aging performance are aligned to the goals and targets of the organisation, while adhering to the compliance of the policies and processes. As the Credit Controller, you will:
  • Generate and issue monthly statement of accounts to all Customers. Support in Collection Forecasting, DSO Reporting, Bad Debt Provision and Audit preparations.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding debts in a high-volume environment through prompt follow up.
  • Review AR with Credit Control Lead weekly and seek support for challenging accounts. Reconcile outstanding AR balances to ensure unapplied cash and invoice credits are minimised. Present and provide updates on accounts during monthly AR Review meetings.
  • Monitor and escalate to management for at-risk collection accounts. Recommend suspension of service and prepare Letter of Demand (LOD) to delinquent accounts.
  • Perform credit assessments on new Customers and credit monitoring of existing Customers.
  • Handle incoming enquiries/disputes from Customers and liaise with other teams/departments for resolution promptly.. Any projects or tasks assigned by management

Qualifications

About you To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accounting discipline.
  • 1-2 years of prior AR/collections experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SAP.
  • Able to work with high-volume of accounts.
