Job Description


Based in our Singapore Office we are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team. The successful person will be joining a fun and collaborative team so being a driven team player is essential!
This role is a hybrid position, offering the convenience of work flexibility while working alongside a high performing team.

The APAC Region is at the forefront of building a world class approach to Working Capital management across Clyde & Co. This includes automation of repetitive tasks, addressing the root causes of billing and payment delays and forming strategic partnerships with our key clients and service providers. This role is in a team that collectively supports Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Thailand. This role will be focused on one of these countries, but they will also provide support and cover for the other countries. We value the knowledge and skill that experienced Credit Controllers can bring to this role. The APAC region is growing fast, and the finance team has a track record of finding new opportunities for personal development and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Generating accounts receivable reports and distributing to each practice
  • Preparing and emailing reminders regarding overdue accounts
  • Clear and accurate verbal and written communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring a consistent track record of meeting Finance Service Commitments (FSC) as set out in the collections framework.
  • Engaging each practice to discuss effective action and follow up on plans.
  • Dealing with internal queries about credit issues
  • Timely and accurate recording of collections history in 3E.
  • Monitoring credit to ensure the firm meets its monthly KPIs.
  • General assistance to the finance team
In addition to the routine tasks, you will also be a significant contributor to our change agenda:
  • Part of project teams designing and implementing new systems and processes
  • Individually looking for ways to continuously improve the service that we provide within the firm.
  • Being open to new challenges and responsibilities given the level of growth and innovation across the team.
Skills and experience
  • Credit control experience in professional services firms
  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communicator
  • Manages time and priorities to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and committed to quality and attention to detail.
  • Works well both in a team and on their own tasks.
  • Takes initiative to build relationships with key clients to encourage timely payments.
  • Committed to continuous improvement of our processes and controls.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgement.
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Elite 3E would be advantageous.
