You will:

• Define and refine the collections strategy, which includes continuously optimizing debt collection and management activities to control delinquency and minimize credit losses
• Monitor loan accounts, follow up on payments, liaise with borrowers to resolve any outstanding queries and negotiate deadlines and repayment plans
• Recommend and initiate appropriate course of action on delinquent accounts
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to establish and execute collection processes and workflows to deliver efficiency and industry best practices
• Liaise with external parties for debt recovery assignments
• Provide updates to internal stakeholders for accounts status and collection efforts

You are:

• Experienced In Collections – You have racked up at least 2 years of experience either in banks or financial institutions as a collections officer. You should have a good understanding of the collections process for retail and/or SMEs and working knowledge of legal recovery methods.
• Skilled In Negotiation – You have the ability to apply negotiation tactics to persuade borrowers to make prompt repayment and ensure debt successful collection.
• Effective Communicator – You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate to Management and all other stakeholders
