The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture.

Your key responsibilities:

Manage a team of five Credit Officers from AVP level to VP level. Ensure that they receive appropriate training and career progression.

Support the growth of WM\xe2\x80\x99s lending book by managing the risk on a portfolio of Wealth Management counterparties in South East Asia and Global South Asia.

Portfolio coverage includes large and complex structured loans as well as JV deals with other Deutsche Bank Divisions.

Review and approve large and complex Wealth Management deals including margin lending, Commercial/Residential Real Estate deals, Aircraft financing.

Work with both internal and external auditors to ensure that audits progress smoothly and that any issues raised are resolved promptly.

Transparent communication of decision-making including risk analysis and approval conditions.

Work with Lending and Relationship Managers to reduce risk for Deutsche Bank by improving deal terms.

Analyze global, regional and local market events and their impact on the portfolio.

Liaise with clients, interface directly with front office staff across the WM business division on credit approvals, credit requirements and relationship matters.

Follow up on trade execution. Ensure trades are properly booked / recorded / monitored, credit terms are incorporated in confirmations / underlying documentation is properly completed.

Daily monitoring of credit portfolio status to ensure that appropriate portfolio quality and any risk concentrations and risk limits do not exceed defined risk appetites and are compliant with risk policies and regulations.

Ensuring global risk reporting systems contain timely and accurate information.

Support any ADHOCadhoc projects assigned on a regional or global level.

Ensure there is a succession plan in place for the role.

Your skills and experience:

Minimum 15 years relevant work experience in credit analysis in major International Financial Institutions.

Minimum 5 years of experience in covering Wealth Management structured credit transactions.

Experience with margin lending, residential/commercial real estate, aircraft financing and unsecured lending.

Possesses working knowledge of risk dynamics of financial products and derivatives (Forex, Swaps, Options, and Strategies) in respect of key Wealth Management activities.

Proven working experience with South Asian counterparties.

Familiar with regional/international financial markets and legal & regulatory issues relating to cross border lending transactions.

Familiar with legal documentation and risk issues including credit mitigating features.

Proven communicator (both written and verbal skills) with an ability to write concise reports.

Have an open mindset and respects challenging views from different stakeholders.

Possesses analytical skills and an independent decision-maker with ability to support or defend conclusions.

Team oriented, flexible, diligent, self-motivated and willing to lead junior teammates.

Ability to work effectively with wide range of cultures / personal styles and to establish strong partnership with front office staff.

Ability to work under pressure and deadlines as well as working with front-office staff in amicable manner.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
