Crypto Exchange Setup & Market Expansion Specialist

Role Summary

We are seeking an expert with proven experience in setting up and launching crypto exchanges across multiple markets. The role requires deep knowledge of exchange infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and market-entry strategies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Exchange, Wallet, and Compliance products, and understands how to adapt exchange setups to meet the unique requirements of different jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Exchange Setup

Lead the full cycle of exchange setup using (exchange matching engine, wallet system, liquidity and risk modules). Integrate fiat on/off ramps, payment gateways, and custody partners as required by market. Design and localize operational processes (trading, KYC/AML, settlement, reconciliation). Ensure strong cybersecurity and operational resilience in every launch.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

Conduct regulatory analysis and licensing preparation for target markets (MAS, SFC, VARA, MiCA, etc.). Work with compliance/legal teams to embed

compliance features

(AML/CFT, KYT, transaction monitoring) into operations. Liaise with regulators and banking partners for approvals and reporting requirements.

Market Strategy & Expansion

Assess and prioritize markets for new exchange launches. Build local partnerships with banks, custodians, payment providers, and liquidity providers. Customize product offerings (spot, derivatives, staking, etc.) to align with local demand.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Management

Manage end-to-end project delivery across multiple geographies. Coordinate internal teams (tech, compliance, operations, marketing) to ensure launch readiness. Provide strategic advice to management on global crypto exchange opportunities and risks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related fields; Master's preferred. 7-10 years' experience in fintech, financial markets, or crypto exchanges, with direct exchange setup experience. Preferably: Hands-on experience with exchange infrastructure Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks. Proven track record of launching exchanges in at least one regulated market. Strong cross-border project management and stakeholder management skills. * Effective Communication skills.
