For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com Job Summary The KYC Controls team has a regional exposure covering the controls against money laundering and terrorist financing for different entities of Nomura in the region. The requirements for compliance are conferred by regulations and guidelines in different countries. Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and identify data quality issues and implement solutions.
• Propose, build and manage long term solutions to improve data integrity.
• Research, evaluate and experiment on data models or improve existing models.
• Identify areas of inefficiency, reoccuring issues, quality improvement and remediation.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate manual processes, and drive change where required.

Requirements

• Experienced in data science/analysis project experience in banking and finance industry, with proven record in insight generation and implementation of insights into tools/processes delivering front-end business results.
• Gather reporting requirement from stakeholders
• Transpose business requirements into technical specifications
• Good analytical and technical skills to produce and articulate technical solutions to stakeholders, with consideration on functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performance and productivity, systems and applications' availability and scalability).
• Adept at working with unstructured raw data and present in meaningful manner in form of data reports, analysis and visualization.
• Experienced in building interactive visualization or dashboard with Tableau, SAP BO and other BI tools.
• Familiarity with modern programming languages and NoSQL databases such as Python.
• Proficient knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx and other BI tools. Proficient in Excel, Access, data analysis and SQL skills.
