Curatorial Research Assistant (city Hall)

Job Description
Job Scope:
- Conduct scholarly research with primary and secondary sources (including Chinese sources) on art from the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang region.
- Assist in preparing text, bibliographies, captions, images, and footnotes for the exhibition and any accompanying publication(s).
- Support administrative tasks related to the exhibition, including maintaining object lists, coordinating
- Liaise with internal and external partners, including vendors, designers, institutions, and related
- Collaborate with team to develop innovative ideas on the narrative, presentation, and design of the
- Oversee the production of multimedia materials (such as videos, soundtracks, or digital initiatives)
- Assist in organizing lecture programs and educational activities associated with the exhibition.
- Contribute to the publication process, from conceptualization and research to writing and printing.
- Duties related to exhibition and curatorial work as assigned.
Duration: 12 Months
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays (9am to 6pm)
Location: City Hall
Salary: $3000 - $3500/Month
Requirements:
- Keen interest (preferably with demonstrated research experience) in arts and culture.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Excellent organisational, project management, and inter-personal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum undergraduate degree in art history, history, anthropology, museum/curatorial studies, or a related subject.
