At the juncture where innovation meets tradition, the role of the Head of Secondary Curriculum emerges as a linchpin in our journey towards becoming the leading English and Writing specialist in Singapore and beyond. This position calls for a dynamic leader who embodies both visionary thinking and a granular attention to detail. As the captain steering our Secondary English & Writing Programme, you will helm a dedicated team of 1 to 2 writers, nurturing them to craft a curriculum that stands as a beacon of educational excellence in the region.

Your adept leadership will be vital in fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment, encouraging your team to continuously raise the bar in curriculum development. As we navigate the exciting terrain of growth and regional expansion, your expertise will be central in harmonising our curriculum with the unique learning landscapes of Singapore and Malaysia, setting new benchmarks in educational standards and impacting students\' lives profoundly.

As a Curriculum Lead (Secondary), you will:

  • Teach up to 2 classes a week
  • Be part of the Secondary School Curriculum Team
1. Curriculum Development and Management
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Secondary level English and Writing curriculum.
  • Ensure that the curriculum meets educational standards and is aligned with the educational vision of the centre.
2. Team Leadership and Development
  • Guide and support the professional development of curriculum writers and teachers in the Secondary level.
3. Business Acumen
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as student enrolment and progression to ensure business goals are met.
  • Devise strategies to grow the Secondary level student base and improve retention rates.
4. Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate the logistics and resources necessary for successful curriculum rollout and teaching.
5. Stakeholder Management
  • Engage with parents, teachers, and partners to collect feedback and improve the Secondary level programs.
6. Regional Focus
  • Contribute to the expansion of the Secondary level programs in other countries, starting with Malaysia.
7. Optional: Projects
  • The Curriculum Lead (Secondary) will have the opportunity to lead or participate in special projects that aim to elevate the quality and reach of our Secondary level programs, both locally and internationally.
  • Will work in coordination with regional teams to adapt and implement the Secondary curriculum to meet the needs of students in different countries.
Outcome:
  • Achieve a significant increase in SEM student numbers in the Secondary level programs.
  • Successful rollout of an impactful and comprehensive Secondary level English and Writing curriculum.
  • Improvement in student enrolment and retention rates at the Secondary level.
  • Enhanced team performance and job satisfaction among teachers and curriculum writers.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Education or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in curriculum development, preferably in Secondary education.
  • Possess good IT skills and knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Google Workspace
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on meeting and exceeding KPIs.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in teacher training is a plus
  • Experience with technology-enhanced learning is a plus

Location(s): Tampines Plaza 1 HQ, Allocated Branch for Classes

Contract Type: Full-Time

Working Hours

5-day work week (inclusive of 1 weekend)

Weekdays: 9am - 6pm (2 days) & 1pm - 10pm (2 days)

Weekend: 830am - 630pm
