Job Description


Responsibilities:Curriculum Development:

  • Design and manage Primary English curriculum, ensuring alignment with MOE guidelines.
  • Establish a unique framework that delivers an engaging, challenging, and results-driven learning experience.
  • Clearly define and communicate the key differentiators of Primary English curriculum through materials and lesson delivery.
  • Lead curriculum planning, research, design, and innovation.
  • Monitor trends in education and ensure that any changes in the MOE guidelines are promptly integrated into the curriculum.
  • Identify learning gaps and create programmes to address them effectively.
  • Develop innovative holiday programmes and courses that capture growth opportunities.
  • Oversee and guide a team of curriculum writers, providing training and ensuring submission deadlines are met.
  • Conduct periodic level meetings to align curriculum goals with teaching practices and gather feedback from teachers.
  • Personally contribute to writing curriculum for 2-3 levels.
Teaching Duties:
  • Teach 5-7 classes per week, providing engaging and well-planned lessons aligned with methodologies.
  • Mark and provide valuable feedback on students\' assignments, ensuring prompt return.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and proactively arrange \xe2\x80\x9ccatch-up\xe2\x80\x9d sessions for students who miss lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students\' parents, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure a positive customer experience and reduce class withdrawals.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as directed by the management.
  • Maintain meticulous records of student progress and administrative tasks (attendance, file checks, etc.).
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in curriculum planning, development, and teaching English and creative writing in the enrichment industry in Singapore.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a curriculum team.
  • Strong understanding of the MOE primary English syllabus and proficiency in designing various types of assessments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design software like Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
