JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Regional Customer Support Report to: Manager of Customer Support Section Functional Relationships with: Customers, function groups within Murata's battery entities, various departments within Murata, and auditing parties

POSITION PROFILE

Based in: Singapore (Tuas); The successful candidate will work with assigned customers, within Murata and other external entities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer's feedback/requests/claims within the target turnaround time
  • Provide on-site and remote support
  • Conduct preliminary investigations to verify claims
  • Co-ordinate investigations & analysis of products/samples
  • Escale/share issues/claims/defects via the appropriate platforms within the required time
  • Ascertain & take appropriate measures to contain & mitigate product issues
  • Prepare failure analysis reports for approval & submission
  • Collaborate, drive and verify the implementation and effectiveness of improvements/corrective actions
  • Document, prepare and/or supervise the scrapping/destruction of defective products
  • Prepare and submit appropriate reports required by Customer
  • Audit the processes within the factory
  • Co-ordinate customer visits and/or conduct line tours
  • Assume responsibility for & execute tasks/projects assigned
  • Execute tasks as necessary to achieve Company's quality, environment work safety & health targets
  • Participate in/contribute to small group initiatives to generate cost and/or time savings
ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Materials) or Science (Physics/Chemistry)
  • Logical, analytical, organized, pro-active
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Composed and positive under difficult situations
  • Excellent listening, verbal & written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Confident working with people, electrical/electronic & mechanical hardware
  • Understanding of electrical circuit & functions will be an advantage
  • Able to communicate reasonably well in spoken and written Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates and customers
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, JMP/Minitab and/or equivalent software
  • Able to travel independently, occasionally at short notice
