Customs Compliance \xe2\x80\x93 First and foremost, this role needs to always be aware of the local and global developments/changes on local and international rules/regulations, ensuring the correct performance and reporting of the foreign trade transactions of the Singapore Plant. This role keeps the Executive Leadership Team informed about possible legal/regulatory, financial, operational and reputational risks to the company, the relevant sectors and PepsiCo. (Accountable)
Free Trade Agreements \xe2\x80\x93 Conducts initial and ongoing origin qualification analyses ensuring new or updated formulae comply with the different rules of Origin of the specific Trade Agreements that the SG plant utilizes to help reduce or eliminate import duties for many of its customers. (Accountable)
Tariff Classification \xe2\x80\x93 Determines the appropriate tariff codes for raw materials and finished goods, consistent with PGCS GCT\xe2\x80\x99s SOP\xc2\xb4s and protocols. (Accountable/Consultation)
Productivity \xe2\x80\x93 Leads the productivity agenda for the SG plant, identifying new opportunities to take duty and related costs out of the system and/or to avoid incurring such costs with the introduction of new products, markets, etc. (Accountable/Consultation)
AEO \xe2\x80\x93 This role presently is guiding the SG plant through the Authorized Economic Operator certification process for supply chain security and import compliance. Thereafter, the role will be responsible for maintaining such AEO status for CMPSL on an ongoing basis. (Accountable)
Innovation \xe2\x80\x93 This role is key for any new formula to be developed, not only to determine the tariff code but to assist on how a formula can be duty-optimized for production/export. (Accountable/Consultation)
Risk control \xe2\x80\x93 Under the PepsiCo Global Control Standards (GCS) this role identifies and measures several potential risk impacts to the business, including being a \xe2\x80\x9clookout\xe2\x80\x9d for risk areas not directly under GCT\xe2\x80\x99s purview but which can come across the GCT radar screen, such as taxes, pricing, finance. Qualifications
Bachelor degree with preference for areas of concentration in international trade, business, accounting, law.
Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in cross-border activities of world-class companies.
Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience using Free Trade Agreements
Proficient in written/verbal English language skills.
