Job Description
Designing and implementing secure API architectures on AWS, incorporating best practices for authentication, authorization, data encryption, and threat protection.This involves understanding AWS security services like AWS WAF, Amazon Cognito, and AWS IAM. Expertise in deploying, configuring, and securing Axway API Gateway instances within an AWS environment. This includes setting up policies, routing rules, and security controls specific to Axway. Conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits of APIs and Axway Gateway deployments on AWS to identify and remediate security weaknesses. Ensuring API security adheres to relevant industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and organizational security policies, particularly within the AWS shared responsibility model. Performing threat modeling exercises to anticipate potential attacks and developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with API exposure and data exchange. Integrating Axway API Gateway with native AWS security services for enhanced protection, monitoring, and logging. * Developing and implementing incident response plans for API security breaches or anomalies detected within the AWS/Axway environment.
