The Opportunity

The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has announced the launch of its licensing framework for cybersecurity service providers under Part 5 of the Cybersecurity Act (CS Act). The intent of the framework is to better safeguard consumers\xe2\x80\x99 interests and address information misalignment between consumers and Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSPs). At the same time, the regulatory regime is also envisaged to improve service providers\xe2\x80\x99 standards and standing over time. As a Cyber Security Internal Consultant, you will assist in reviewing cyber engagements and ensure EY complies to the Cybersecurity Act\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines and licensing framework.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll work alongside the team to support the team in the application of Cybersecurity Service Provider Licence while balancing your time between evaluating Cyber engagements, providing internal consultation to Cybersecurity team, and supporting compliance of CSA requirements and to raising awareness in adoption of CSA guidelines and licensing framework
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Internal Compliance Consultant, you will have the opportunity to provide guidance and make recommendations to our Cybersecurity Consulting team to ensure that EY and its clients will abide by the CS Act and licensing framework. You will work alongside us to further improve EY\xe2\x80\x99s standards and standing as a cybersecurity service provider by helping to address any information asymmetry between the EY and our clients, safeguarding our clients\xe2\x80\x99 interests and improving our standards as a CSP.
Your role will include, but not limited to, the following :

  • Ensure our business adhere to standards set out in the Licensing framework to support the objectives of the CS Act
  • Updating and maintaining of all necessary information, including service records, as per CSA\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
  • Keeping up to date and ensure EY\xe2\x80\x99s compliance with information released by the CSRO, from time to time,and subsidiary legislation under the CS Act
  • Applying for the necessary licenses if any additional licensable cybersecurity services are added to the CS Act
  • To facilitate CSA\xe2\x80\x99s investigation into matters such as breaches, or to provide CSA licensing officer with information concerning matters that relate to cybersecurity services upon request
  • Onboarding new Cybersecurity resources on all CSA compliance matters
  • Providing training and updates on new CSA regulatory changes and requirements
  • Supporting any other CSA compliance related matters

Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Good grasp of the licensing framework for cybersecurity service providers
  • Strong understanding of the Singapore Cybersecurity Act
  • Understand security concepts and is able to advise on how the team can apply to business and technology solutions
  • Be able to articulate threats and risk to internal stakeholders

To Qualify for the role, you must have
  • A recognized university degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, InformationTechnology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of Consulting experience.
  • Strong interest in the field of information security
  • Creative, independent with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Project management experience preferred
