What the role is:
We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. You will monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role requires vigilance, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively during standard working hours in our city centre location.
What you will be working on:

• Monitor security events and alerts from IT and OT systems using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and other security technologies. Analyse potential security incidents to determine their severity and impact on business operations. Investigate suspicious activities, malware infections, and unauthorised access attempts across network infrastructure, endpoints, and industrial control systems. o Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify advanced persistent threats and sophisticated attack campaigns that may evade automated detection systems. Develop and execute threat hunting hypotheses based on threat intelligence and emerging attack patterns. o Respond to security incidents following established procedures and escalate critical threats to senior analysts or management as appropriate. Document all security events, investigations, and response actions in detail. Collaborate with IT teams, OT engineers, and external stakeholders to contain and remediate security incidents. o Maintain awareness of current threat landscapes, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities affecting both traditional IT systems and industrial control environments. Contribute to the development and improvement of security monitoring procedures, playbooks, and detection rules.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience o Preferably minimum two years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations (fresh graduates with cybersecurity qualifications are also encouraged to apply) o Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and security technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection o Experience with threat hunting methodologies and tools o Knowledge of industrial control systems, SCADA networks, and OT security principles is highly desirable o Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk o Understanding of incident response methodologies and forensic analysis techniques Skills and Knowledge o Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail o Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation o Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions during security incidents o Availability to work standard office hours in our city centre location o Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GCFA, or CISSP are advantageous o Experience with threat hunting, malware analysis, or vulnerability assessment is beneficial Successful applicants will be contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting
