Role Overview:

We are currently partnering a leading food and agribusiness on their search for a Dairy Buyer. This position sits within the Dairy division and will be responsible for managing procurement activities as well as overseeing daily operational processes. The focus is on ensuring smooth end-to-end supply chain execution, effective supplier partnerships, and cost-efficient procurement to support the division's continued expansion.

Responsibilities:

Identify and engage suppliers for dairy ingredients and related inputs, negotiating terms to secure value, quality, and timely supply. Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews. Track global market trends, pricing dynamics, and potential risks to inform purchasing strategies. Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to internal policies, contractual obligations, and sustainability principles. Manage day-to-day operational workflows across the dairy supply chain. Coordinate closely with production, QA, logistics, and finance teams to align priorities and deliverables. Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning to balance availability with cost control. Support forecasting, planning, and reporting processes to provide visibility to management. Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall service levels.

Requirements

Prior experience in procurement, ideally within dairy, food ingredients, or related sectors. Strong skills in supplier management, negotiation, and operational coordination. Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and regulatory frameworks. Ability to collaborate across functions and drive process enhancements. * Proficiency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia) are advantageous.
