What you will be working on:
Co-led by Sport Singapore, Singapore Sports School (SSP) and National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI), you will be part of a journey to support the vision for the next bound to build new capabilities for high performance sport and better integrate our programmes/policies to strengthen support for youth to senior athletes, and youth-to-senior transition. In this role, you will support data-informed decision-making within the organisation for the advancement of our high-performance sport (HPS) ecosystem. Engage stakeholders to understand their data needs and operational use cases to provide tailored analytical support Collect, clean, and manage sport-related datasets to serve analytics requirements. Conduct robust data analytics related to athlete performance analysis and trajectory modelling, investment impact analysis and optimisation, and evaluation of HPS policies and programs Report the methodologies and findings to stakeholders using infographics and dashboards Make evidence-based recommendations to improve HPS policy and program design
What we are looking for:
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. The ideal candidate should possess the following: Background in Data Analytics / Data Science / Statistics / Engineering or related field Experience with statistical and data visualisation tools, and/or scripting language (e.g. Excel, Tableau / PowerBI), R, Python, SQL etc) Passionate about sport and has the desire to support Team Singapore in achieving success Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities Able to grasp big picture concepts and also handle details conscientiously Adaptable to evolving requirements from business users Good oral and written communication skills Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in collaboration with stakeholders Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. The level of offer will commensurate with applicants' experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract in the first instance.
