Data Analyst, Trading Projects and Support - Commodities and Global Markets

Join our Commodities and Global Markets business\'s Data team, in a critical role analysing business data, diagnosing pain points, and creating solutions that supports the trading business.

This is a unique opportunity to develop and build a network across multiple teams and manage a range of competing priorities and projects, in a dynamic environment.

About the role

Our data team ensures that the trading business maintains data appropriately with regards to completeness, quality and timeliness, as well as ensuring that data is compliant with global regulations and internal policies.

You will work closely with Technology, Finance and Businesses stakeholders to determine data requirements, assisting with implementation and testing changes.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that data produced is complete, accurate, valid and relevant and analysing data to identify issues, designing resolutions and writing requirements, and co-ordinating implementation of system and process changes.

You will also be supporting a variety of change projects within Commodities and Global Markets to deliver business data to support a wide range of regulatory reporting requirements.

About you

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a functional Business Analyst in a Financial Markets environment.
• Strong understanding of financial products and end-to-end business processes.
• Prior exposure to trade and regulatory reporting is a plus.
• Possess an analytical and innovative mindset and resourcefulness to identify and deliver find sustainable solutions for complex subjects.
• Highly numerate with ability to interrogate, interpret and draw conclusions from multiple data sources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders and manage issues to resolution.
• Ability to adapt to requirements in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
• Basic to intermediate coding skills (i.e. Python or SQL) will be beneficial.
