What the role is:
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector. As a Data and Digitalisation Trainee in Management Information Branch of the Research and Management Information Division, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in formulating and implementing policies and initiatives under the MOE Data Strategy to drive MOE's digital transformational journey.
What you will be working on:
-Contribute to the in-house development of MOE data infrastructure through engagement with different stakeholders to understand needs, clarify value propositions and co-create solutions. -Plan, curate and implement various MOE and whole-of-government data-related professional development initiatives to strengthen MOE officers' data literacy and competencies. -Provide consultancy services to MOE Divisions to support their data exploitation efforts and drive new data use cases. -Collaborate with data scientists and programme/ policy owners in MOE on data science (e.g., artificial intelligence and machine learning) projects. -Review and update the MOE HQ Data Management Policy and advise MOE Divisions on policies related to data governance, data management and data sharing.
