Ensures operational services are delivered in accordance to project requirements.
Monitor and report to client on the SLA/KPI of the in-scope DCFM service.
Ensure respective operational service levels are met.
Provide monthly summary and/or progress report on systems health, statuses, risk status and status of Change Request / Service Request and System Problem.
Liaise and work directly with client (stakeholders, Ops Managers and/or Contractors) for purpose of project delivery and maintenance support.
Monitor and update client on operation concern and/or compliance matters and propose resolution.
Review all incidents that do not meet SLA or OLA. Ensure incidents are handled as defined in the Incident Management Process.
Plan, co-ordinate, manage and control the changes to infrastructure so that it adheres to the Change Management Processes.
Conduct and/or participate in management update meetings - CCC , Operations, Service Review, Audit and Management Meeting.
Review reports from DCFM Operations & Support (O&S) project team.
Provide support to O&S Project teams during Audit, DR/BCP, Backup & Recovery exercise.
Propose continuous improvement initiatives with recommendations to strengthen IT governance & compliance, increase efficiency on work quality and processes.
Prepare Management plan and submit compilation to the Client annually.
DCFM Specific Experience
Proactive monitoring on the Environmental Equipment in the Data Centres to ensure they are operating within acceptable level and to escalate promptly to the relevant authority or third-party vendors to rectify any defects alerted
On-site Management of works conducted within the Data Centres such as site preparation, site survey, network cabling, electrical wiring, air-conditioning, building power supply (including power generator) tests, on-site/off-site standby activities etc
DC physical access control security process compliance with zero security incident
Rack and Stack Tasks under Data Centre Infrastructure Management
Have good working knowledge for best practices in fire/workspace safety, management, control, and operating a Data Centre hosting services
Qualifications and Capabilities
BSc degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
Be ITIL Foundation certified
Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14644-1 and ISO 27001
Have eight (8) years of working experience in Data Centre Facility Management
Have at least five (5) years of experience in leading a team in a similar capacity
In depth knowledge of fire/workspace safety guideline and policies
In depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and operating a Data Centre
