Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their Reporting team in Singapore. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines to support accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including regulatory experts, data analysts, and software engineers, to ensure regulatory compliance, data integrity, and efficient reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support regulatory reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with regulatory experts, business analysts, and data analysts to understand regulatory reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements and data models.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency in regulatory reporting processes.
• Implement data governance practices and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into regulatory reporting systems.
• Conduct impact analysis for upstream and downstream changes that may affect data integrity, reporting processes, or compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on regulatory reporting within the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, GDPR).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
