For more information, visit .Introduction:As a Data Enginee you will be reporting to the Lead Data Engineer and support problem-solving on any database platform and deliver robust recommendations to effectively store, secure, and manage data. You will assist the Lead Data Engineer in the development and adoption of cross-platform products/roadmap, recommend overall sizing of infrastructure for data and analytics platforms.Your Job:Designs, develops, optimizes, and maintains data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) principles and business goals.Solves complex data problems to deliver insights that helps business achieve its goals.Create data products for engineers, analysts, and data scientist team members to accelerate their productivity.Engineers\xe2\x80\x99 effective features for modeling in close collaboration with data scientists and businesses.Leads the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and process for analytics data engineering to improve productivity as a team and quality.Partners with machine learning engineers, BI, and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.Fosters a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency for data and analytical solutions.Advises, consults, mentors, and coaches other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices.Develops and delivers communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes.Learns about machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics as necessary to carry out role effectively.Other Responsibilities:Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.Required Qualifications:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related fieldA minimum of 2 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles, with a focus on digital manufacturing or industrial applications.Expertise in ELT and data analysis, SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Pyspark, Python)Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, reporting tools, data governance, and structured and unstructured data.Strong understanding on agile methodologies and experience as a Data Engineer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.Experience with designing and maintaining data warehouses and/or data lakers with big data Snowflake, and experience with housing, accessing, and transforming data in a variety of relational databases.Experience with cloud database technologies (e.g., AWS) and developing solutions on cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space.Experience with containerization and managing pipelines and microservices (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)Experience in building data pipelines and deploying/maintaining them with a best-in-class tools (e.g., Git and Jenkins)Exposure in machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematicsFamiliarity with the Linux operating system.Basic familiarity with BI tools (e.g Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Looker)Experience working in data engineering or data architecture role.Focuses on agile delivery with a \xe2\x80\x9cfail-fast\xe2\x80\x9d, succeed early \xe2\x80\x9cmindset and measurable outcomes.Strong communication skills with ability to articulate the value of a design choice to users and stakeholders.Creative problem solving and analytical skills with ability to synthesize ideas into tangible solutions for design.Sees value in taking an iterative design approach, has a strong sense of ownership and proactively advocates for the end user.Highly detail oriented.A team player and user-centric.Preferred Qualifications:Masters in data science or a related fieldGlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
