On behalf of one of its clients, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for an

DATA INTEGRATION ENGINEER
The Data Integration Engineer integrates and inter-connects the various applications of the organization, both technically and functionally, so that they operate in a unified and automated manner. It ensures that data flows rapidly and securely between apps and ensures proper support and documentation.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the IT-Apps Manager, the Data Integration Engineer will perform the following main missions:

• 
  Plan and integrate new applications into the organization following IT application lifecycle best practices:

• 
  Participating to the functional analysis of needs (finance, procurement, HR, education teams)
• Exploring and benchmarking solutions
• Proposing solutions and business cases to decision makers
• Planning and managing the project in an agile manner
• Testing and coordinating testing of the selected solution with users
• Ensuring specifications are met
• Deploying and training the relevant stakeholders (support team, managers, end-users)
• Guaranteeing clear communication and guidelines with the vendors
• Supporting subsequent continuous improvements and stakeholders
• Ensuring documentation and deliverables are complete and updated

• 
  Ensure connectivity, dataflow and automation between the existing applications:
  

• Studying the interfaces available
• Studying current data flows and data mapping and propose a coherent data architecture
• Setting up and maintain the interfaces between the apps
• Monitoring data security and data flows to ensure data is up to date in all the systems and database
• Setting up dashboards and automated reporting to feed pertinent data to stakeholder
• Maintaining source code and interfaces documentation

Requirements

• Master’s in computer sciences or information technology

• 
  Proficiency in English and French to manage IT solutions in French and English and to communicate with stakeholders (staff, institution, vendors) in both languages

• 
  3-7 years experience in applications, interfaces or integration development

• 
  Experience in application integration: proficient in integration development tools

• 
  Proficiency in databases (SQL)

• 
  Proficient in scripting and automation (Powershell, HTML, Python, Devops)

• 
  Experience in data modeling and design

• 
  Experience in using business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Excel, VBA) is an added advantage

• 
  Well organized and be able to prioritize tasks

• 
  Experience in project management (Agile)

• 
  Analytical mind

• 
  Meticulous in securing data, access rights and confidentiality (PPDA Certification is a plus)

• 
  Ability to work independently and autonomously

• 
  Strong team player to deliver result in fast paced and collaborative environment

• 
  Excellent interpersonal skills

• 
  Able to understand business issues

• 
  Able to translate concrete needs in more technical language

• 
  Able to challenge vendor’s proposals

• 
  Exposure to Cloud (AWS, Azure) would be a plus
