Purpose: An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Business Transformation team in Singapore.Reporting to the Business Transformation Manager, you will help make the difference and contribute to the successful transformation of our business through Purpose: An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Business Transformation team in Singapore.Reporting to the Business Transformation Manager, you will help make the difference and contribute to the successful transformation of our business through the delivery of targeted data initiatives, and improving our data maturity standard. You will be our change management champion for data, and develop partnership and operate as the trusted advisor to all of the business unit's data stakeholders.You will help foster and develop a data driven culture within the business unit, and deliver training program to help introduce our business users to our data model, and encourage them to develop their own PowerBI reports and dashboards. You will work closely with our strategic solution provider, and oversee the planning and delivery of data focused implementations, as well as remaining hands-on and owning specific data visualization and extraction deliveries. You will collaborate with like minded colleagues across APAC and within the business unit, and support each other to architect, design and deliver high quality digital and data solutions, if interested, to build our own data science capability. Experience and attributes: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines Good domain knowledge of the workings of P&C General Insurance's products, systems and data More than 8 years experience in data lead / data analyst role Candidate with less experience may be considered as Business / Data Analyst. Technically proficient and knowledgeable in the use of data query and visualization tools such as SQL, Microsoft Power BI, QlikSense, Python, etc. Proven track record and practical experience with architecting, designing, and building / enhancing data models and solutions, and in the testing, reconciliation and providing design assurance to reporting / dashboard / analytics deliveries Hands-on, and open minded with can-do attitude Meticulous, rigorous with detail, whilst having a clear appreciation of the big picture Ability to navigate ambiguity and see work through to completion with minimal supervision Team player, with effective communication and presentation skills Job Accountabilities: Collaborate with the business unit's data stakeholders to analyse their financials, KPIs, metrics and reporting requirements, identify and assess the underlying data requirements for these requirements, then translate and document these into detailed specifications accurately Interact with internal / 3rd party technical subject matter experts / system owners to identify and document the workings of the data sources and database details Supervise and manage the project delivery of our strategic solution provider, and provide input on design considerations / options across infrastructure, data sourcing, data transformation / modelling approach, visualization design, etc., as well as safeguard the robust, stable and quality running of our data solution and capabilities Coach, supervise and manage the data deliverables by the business unit's citizen developers Provide update on progress of vendor and citizen managed builds in a structured and timely manner, in particular to escalate issues and risks for their prompt resolution Represent the business unit as its Data Lead to foster collaboration and sharing of lessons learnt with other business units, and regional / global data leads Help lead and realise the business unit's data science ambition You are the heart & soul of Zurich!
