What the role is:The Singapore Police Force plays a critical role in Singapore\'s Criminal Justice System with its mission to protect Singapore and to prevent, deter and detect crime. The availability of high-quality data is important to enable analysis and analytics in support of operations and investigations in the Singapore Police Force. As a Data Management Executive, you play an integral role in the governance and management of data used for analysis, analytics, law enforcement operations, investigation, strategy and policy formulation. You will be responsible for managing the collection, integration and consumption of data to serve a variety of policing use cases. Activities include the management of reference data; establishing requirements for logical checks for data interoperability and data quality; specifying business requirements for data models, ingestion rules and integration rules and supporting the use of enterprise analytics platforms. You will also work with various stakeholders to address data related issues and resolve them expeditiously without jeopardising systems operations and data integrity. You will be placed on the Home Team Specialist Scheme and be deployed in a SPF unit. Suitable officers will be rotated across analysis and data management functions; or be provided with secondment opportunities in government agencies under the HTS scheme.What you will be working on:As a Data Management Executive, you will be responsible for the governance and management of data to enable analysis, analytics, law enforcement operations, investigation, strategy and policy formulation.What we are looking for:

• Background in Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Mathematics or Statistics \xe2\x80\xa2 Personality: Strong sense of integrity, self-driven, inquisitive, creative and resourceful. Preference to work in a challenging and ever-changing operating environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Emotional Resilience: Able to perform effectively under stressful situations and difficult circumstances. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective Communication: Able to communicate both verbally and in writing effectively. Adept in using Microsoft Office XP, particularly \'Excel\', \'Word\', and \'PowerPoint\' functions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research skills: Able to conduct sound research to gather relevant information and apply suitable analytical skills to discover insights, draw conclusions and give recommendations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical skills: Able to logically critique a point of view and think through the issue from different angles, approaches and perspectives to give a valid and sound assessment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Technical skills: Able to pick up coding, in particular Structured Query Language (SQL), to support retrieval and manipulation of data. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in Current Affairs: Able to appreciate developments in the local and international arenas and how they might have an impact on the Police Force.
