We are looking for a Data Science Intern to support the Data Science team on our product lines. This role reports to our Head of Data Science and is a fantastic opportunity for data science undergraduates to gain exposure to machine learning / artificial intelligence techniques in a commercial setting, across all stages from experimentation to productisation. \

In this role you will:

• Develop and enhance existing end-to-end solutions to address critical challenges for our product lines
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance discoverability of subject-matter knowledge useful for our labelling, training and validation techniques
• Deliver changes on a codebase with high-quality production-level code that reaches our customers
• Perform data analysis to find insights that can be used for preprocessing data, and enhancing our machine learning models and overall inference pipelines
• Gain exposure on carbon emission measurement and reduction, and apply them to improve our range of product lines

You should:

• Be an undergraduate in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative field or equivalent
• Have knowledge in statistics machine learning. Exposure to NLP techniques is a plus
• Experience with code versioning tools like Git; knowledge of MLOps tools and frameworks (Docker, K8s, MLFlow etc.) is a plus
• Proficiency in Python programming with experience in pandas, sklearn, pytorch / tensorflow etc
• Possess an excellent sense of ethics and integrity, with the ability to impress on others to \xe2\x80\x9cdo the right thing\xe2\x80\x9d
• Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
• Hard-working, proactive, and motivated individual who can manage multiple stakeholders and projects
• Demonstrates a commitment to embark on a journey to learn more about climate change, sustainability, and ESG
