You will be an integral part of a collaborative cross-functional team, working alongside fellow Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers. Our team is dedicated to developing sophisticated data products that enhance operational intelligence and solve real-world business challenges. We thrive on exploring new technologies and innovating solutions that push the boundaries of data and AI.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) :
As a key contributor, you will work closely with the team to assist with and drive projects through their entire lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with ML Solutions: Collaborating on the development, and maintenance of machine learning models, with a focus on continually improving our recommendation systems to enhance consumer experience and engagement.
Learning and Innovating with AI: Assisting in the implementation of automation solutions, particularly incorporating advanced AI/ML models (including LLMs and Generative AI) into our corporate AI portal.
Strategic Collaboration: Collaborating with MLOps engineers and the broader team to deploy and maintain models in production, and ensuring efficient feature management and data pipelines.
Experimentation & Prototyping: Performing small-scale proof-of-concept studies and exploratory experiments to evaluate new data science techniques and technologies, and contributing to the development of early-stage prototypes.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
Education
: A strong university degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative field.
Professional Experience:
Some professional experience as a Data Scientist, with demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Recommendation Systems (development and deployment)
User Profiling & Look-alike Models
Programming Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Python and its associated data science ecosystem (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) .
Database Skills:
Strong command of SQL for data manipulation and analysis, and familiarity with relational databases.
Problem Solving & Independence:
A strong track record of technical problem-solving and an eagerness to learn and contribute with guidance from the team.
Analytical Rigor:
Comfortable manipulating, analyzing, and deriving insights from complex, disparate data sources.
Highly Desired Skills & Experience (Big Pluses) :
Advanced ML/AI: Exposure to or interest in productionizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.
Media Industry Experience: Experience working in the media industry, with a keen understanding of digital engagement or user profiling is highly valued.
NoSQL Databases: Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch) .
* Cloud & Containers: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and/or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) .
