We are seeking a motivated

Data Scientist

to join on a

1-year renewable contract

. The Data Scientist will work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate them into analytical problems, and deliver impactful insights and predictive models that support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Engage stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data science projects. Perform data cleaning, pre-processing, and feature engineering to prepare high-quality datasets. Build and refine machine learning models to analyse data, identify patterns, and make predictions. Communicate findings through clear narratives and impactful visualisations to influence decision makers. Design dashboards and interactive visualisations for data exploration and storytelling when required. Manage project timelines, iterate analysis based on stakeholder feedback, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant data science experience. Strong skills in data preparation, analysis, and feature engineering. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and machine learning. Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and data modelling methodologies. Experience building machine learning models for prediction and pattern recognition. Proficiency in designing visualisations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
